Plastic bags are not recyclable in the blue cart. 

Why not? Plastic bags wrap around the sorting equipment at the recycling facility causing shutdowns and causing safety hazards.

TIP: Plastic bags and the plastic wrap from toilet paper and paper towels can be recycled at local retailers like Jewel, Mariano's, and Best Buy. Look for the 'plastic bag recycling' bin near the front doors.
