Recycle by City

Aerosol cans are not recyclable in the blue cart because the pressurized gas they contain makes them flammable. 

Aerosol cans are the #1 cause of fires at Lakeshore's recycling facilities.  Empty aerosol cans can go in the trash.  Aerosol cans that are not empty are considered Hazardous Waste and must be taken to the Household Chemical and Computer Recycling Facility on Goose Island.
